EVENT: 2024 Experience The Legacy HBCU College Fair
Experience the Legacy HBCU College Fair is a premier one day event dedicated to amplifying the educational opportunities offered by Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). We are bringing the HBCU experience back to the community with this year’s Experience the Legacy HBCU College Fair taking place Saturday, September 21, 2024 11am at Irvington High School in the Gymnasium.
This event will feature a number of HBCU Recruiters, a College Readiness Consultant, a "Parent's Corner" Workshop, Greek Life exhibition and an HBCU Alumni panel discussion starting promptly. Some HBCUs in attendance will also be offering APPLICATIONS and ON THE SPOT ACCEPTANCE! (Please bring your latest Transcripts and ACT/SAT scores!)
This HBCU college fair is set to provide students and their families with valuable information and resources to prepare for college, while experiencing a taste of the vibrant HBCU culture right in their own backyard! We invite you to experience yourself, experience your history, experience your culture, experience your future, Experience the Legacy.

Livingstone College Receives Fourth Consecutive Anonymous $1 Million Donation
Historically Black, Livingstone College in North Carolina, continues to benefit from anonymous donors. The school announced Wednesday that they received a $1 million anonymous donation, — the fourth consecutive anonymous donation of $1 million.
President Anthony J. Davis announced the donation last Friday, April 19 to members of the Salisbury-Rowan community and several of the college’s faculty and staff. Livingstone says that the donor has been a consistent and dedicated supporter of the college’s mission and vision.

North Carolina A&T graduate DerriQ J is on the mission to put NC talent on the map.
Lights, Camera, Action.” It’s a phrase frequently repeated by film crew members, but this saying is taking on a whole new meaning. DerriQ J, is the founder and CEO of We In Action (WIA) Entertainment, an independent record label based in Greensboro, NC. Launched on November 24th, 2020, WIA helps promote and market artists to reach their maximum potential.
